Description
A little 45 minute Prismacolor pencil on black cardstock drawing I made today for a nephew of mine, who I recently learned fell in love with Pokemon. He is almost the same age I was when I first found Pokemon nearly 20 years ago.
It sounds like he discovered Pokemon the exact same way I did; through the trading cards rather than from the actual games. So hey, why not give him a trading card sized drawing? I'm also giving him the Delphox trading card tin box that has the art on it I absolutely love.

You did this in 45 minutes? Geez, my works take months and pale in comparison.
I particularly like the color blending on Delphox's stick; the subtle pink tone that you created is gorgeous! The white hairs on the tail and the purple used for the feet are also great additions. If only you were an artist for Pokemon cards; I'd probably pick my cards back up again!
May I make a bold criticism? I'm certainly no professional artist, but I think you might want to practice drawing the eyes. I think that the areas at the outer edges of the eyes should be a bit more white, while the areas closer to the pupils are more red (but, of course, that's simply the anime style...) There is a cunning wisdom to Delphox's eyes, even in times of aggression; a sly, knowing softness outlined with jagged edges. That's just my take, though.
